Back to School 2014::: Middle School Makeup

Hey y'all! So since it is back to school season there are some of you going into middle school (or are in middle school) and that means most of you will start wearing makeup! So I know the makeup aisle can seem very intimidating. Tons of foundation shades, different types of mascaras, different shades of powders and blushes, a ton of eye shadow shades. I know the feeling of it being intimidating I was in the same place not too long ago.  So i'm here to help you with all the things you should be wearing and help you not make the mistakes I made!

{6th Grade}

So you shouldn't be starting out with a heavy foundation (btw I did and completely regret it!) Trust me your skin is practically PERFECT at this age. If you do have a couple of pimples you should start wear BB Cream. BB Cream is a tinted moisturizer. This is a a moisturizer with a touch of color to it to cover any redness and even zits. It doesn't have a lot of coverage, but you shouldn't have to have too much coverage at this age.

So the next step is under eye concealer. This is a brightening concealer and the purpose of this is to highlight certain areas of your face. All you need to do is draw a triangle underneath your eyes and blend with a makeup sponge.

Next up is blush. All you need to do is put a TINY AMOUNT on your cheeks. You shouldn't really be able to see it. All you need to do is smile and place it on your cheek bones.

Next up is powder. Your skin will end up oilier throughout the day and this will keep your skin matte. Most powders come with a puff, but if it doesn't you can buy a brush!

You don't always need to curl your lashes but I like to because it will open up your eyes.

Last is mascara all you need is one or two coats of this. Keep it natural too! At this age I would recommend a brown mascara instead of a black.

Don't forget to top all of it off with chapstick to keep your lips moisturized!

{7th Grade}

At this age you should add a little more into your collection. You can mostly keep your face makeup the same (you might need to add a face concealer for a little extra coverage, look at the 8th grade makeup for concealer.)

So at this age you can start wearing eye shadow.
You will want to have an eye primer so your eye shadow will last longer throughout the day.

For eye shadow it is best to keep it simple. A light champagne color for the base. A light taupe color in your cress and a warm white color to put in your inner corner and under your brow.

{8th Grade}

By 8th grade you should be doing about your whole face. Most peoples skin is still good, but some do need concealer. (If you do need foundation I would recommend  L'Oreal True Match, but your skin type also effects your foundation choice. This one if more for oily skin.)

The only thing you will be adding to your face makeup is a concealer. This concealer will be used to apply onto zits. Don't put it directly onto your zits you will want to put the concealer on a concealer brush and then apply it to the zit. If you put it directly on a zit it will collect bacteria and will make your face break out more.

So for eyes you will be adding eyeliner. Please do NOT start wearing black eyeliner and pitting it all over your eye. If you REALLY want a dark eyelier go with brown and apply it on the outter half of your waterline. If you do just want eyeliner I recommened a white and all you need to do is apply it once or twice on your water line so it wont look too harsh.

The other thing you will be adding is doing your eyebrows! The best thing to do is to have a powder since it is the most natural. You'll want to set it with a clear mascara and you're done with brows!

The last thing is to add a colored lipgloss and your done!

{Brushes}
